Derek Lutz is an author, philosopher, and jiu jitsu instructor living in Central California with his wife Amanda, three dogs, two cats, and two horses.

His greatest passion is learning and growing—writing, teaching, training, or just exploring the world are all opportunities to do this. He sees life as a brief moment where you get to feel the universe, influence it, and live out whichever available possibilities you choose.
